Dr Robert Barnes

After 14 years with ICI Australia Ltd in various management and marketing roles (including 5 years in Papua New Guinea), Robert spent 20 years as CEO of the Australian Institute of Bankers, the Municipal Association of Victoria and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. He joined ProNed in 2004 as a Partner in their Melbourne Office.

Robert has worked in Melbourne since 1972 and has developed an extensive network of business contacts at senior levels.

He has over 20 years of Board experience and has conducted seminars on Board performance, the role of Non Executive Directors, especially in relation to senior management, and corporate governance issues. He is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
